Dwarven Borderlands

... lay to the East of the CORE MODULE / City of Dohral. The region includes much land bordering on the great Toltaw River known as the Esrogoth Heights, and some portions of the Howling Mountains and the Illfaw Fen. These encompass nearly TWO-HUNDRED Area maps of 16 x 16 TILES.

These lands are rather wild but in a pleasant sort of way (at least the more accessible areas) where game animals and wild herbs may be found in notable abundance. The rougher zones are rife with game, but also large predators and rumored, worse still. Dangerous the mountains be, and wise is he to avoid them when such is possible.

The DWARVEN BORDER MODULE gives access to the CORE MODULE, and the LOW_DWARVEN MODULE. A small northern portion of this module is inaccessible (on the far side of the Toltaw river) it will remain inaccessible until after either the NORTHWOOD MODULE or the LOW_DWARVEN MODULE are engaged.

The Howling Mountains

Any dwarf will tell you, these are but the remotest parts of the Howling Mountains and as such are hardly worthy of the name. Still, this borders the Lake Clan Dwarves land, and they are proud of their homeland. Proud of their grand defenses and proud of their crafts in general.

The Spur of the Howling Mountains lay between the City of Dohral and the Illfaw Fen. It is a land untraveled and regarded as a land unpassable by the folk of the City of Dohral, providing them with some degree of protection from the East. The region is rumored to be the den of Ogres and wild creatures of even more dire nature. Among these treacherous peaks, vales and passes, many adventurers have vanished, their fates unknown.

The Esrogoth Heights

A strip of land between Tivook Acres and the Land of the Lake Dwarves, Esrogoth was founded by yet another noteworthy mercenary, formerly employed by none other than Bennin Oz Dohral. As his Mercenary's Option, Esrog selected this land and his people operate the Eastern Citadel, as well as a few small settlements in the vicinity. The land is little used, somewhat rough, and is known to have had no few 'mysterious disappearances' of merchants, adventurers and lone travelers alike.
