A Neverwinter Nights Campaign

This is a proposed cluster of up to SIXTEEN SERVERS to permit up to 640 simultaneous Players to experience this unique Neverwinter Nights Campaign. Assuming a limit of 40 players per MODULE/SERVER, and that the average USER/PLAYER logs two hours per day, and half of any sample of simultaneous users would yield approximately half server-veterans to server-newbies, this would produce an approximately 76K user-experiences per month. If each server costs $150 a month to operate, then a total of $2400 direct monthly expenses must be borne, hopefully by the goodwill of donors ... it works out to a cost of just $0.32 per user-experience. This is a NWN Campaign on a scale like no other (experienced by this Designer). Help kick-start this ambitious project and YOU CAN HELP BETA TEST! Your help is needed in both the financial and the warm-body-playtester sense, but one does NOT require the other - STATED PLAINLY -

The Designer believes this is pretty straight-forward. If the Designer does a really spectacular job, enough of you nice PLAYERS will DONATE in any given month to cover costs at least. As long as that is the case, THE GAME IS ON. The Designer will give FAIR WARNING when / if the coffers ever drop below that required for three months, then two months and a FINAL WARNING when only one month's worth of funding remains. PLEASE DONATE - Let your conscience be your guide.

One other thing ... all DONORS are asked to take a POLL requesting their preference as to which MODULE should be added when next PROJECT FUNDS permit the addition of a server. Votes will be tracked and when DONATIONS allow the addition of another server (requires a buffer of three months worth of server fees to open) any such new server opened will include the MODULE which has gained the most votes since the last 'new server' was added. In this way, donors control how and when we grow the campaign. All Players are asked to remember that any PC could be a donor, treat all with respect.

The Designer believes anyone reading this website can tell by the quality of text, and the richness of imagery evoked, that this is the work of a Designer who can carry an audience well through a multi-media presentation.

Please remember that this is, from the start, a user-supported operation. The goodwill of users will make or break this system. The Designer pledges to continue design efforts on the modules as proposed and will continue to expand and operate the system(s) as demand (in the form of YOUR DONATIONS) dictates. Keep the operational coffers full and all will grow ever larger. If too many think the designs stink, the donations will evaporate and the server(s) will close. The Designer likes to think that the designs offered are good, very good actually. The Designer likes to think the coding is good (it sometimes takes a while to get it exactly as desired, but the end result is code that flows as a mountain stream).

This is a system, which, if the public enjoys and appreciates it enough, can be grown to ever larger scale with the inclusion of additional cities as destinations accessed via ships at port in Dohral and by other means. In a sense this is as open as any PnP RPG campaign - THIS CAMPAIGN WILL NOT ONLY EXPAND BY ADDING NEW MODULES IN THE FUTURE, BUT WILL ALSO BE MODIFIED ITSELF OVER TIME BY THE ACTIONS OF THE PLAYERS AND REPURCUSSIONS OF SAME.
